Login is handled through the official Pi Network SDK. No password or authentication data is stored by BNPi.

Authenticating your identity via Pi Network
Displaying accommodation listings
Managing bookings and communication between users
Preventing fraud, abuse, or misuse of the platform

All data is securely stored using Supabase, a GDPR‑compliant backend service.

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share minimal necessary data with infrastructure providers (e.g. Supabase, Pi Network SDK) to ensure service delivery.
5. Cookies & Tracking
BNPi does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or third‑party marketing tools.
Only essential session‑related data (e.g. login state) may be temporarily stored in your browser's localStorage to enable basic platform functionality.

7. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services or comply with legal obligations. Listings and user records can be deleted upon request.
8. Referral and Partner Program
If you participate in our partner program, we may store and associate your referral code with new users who submit listings using that code. This information is used internally to track program usage and potential reward eligibility. Referral data is not publicly visible and is not shared with third parties.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. Significant changes will be announced via the platform.
11. Cancellations & Refunds (Data Handling)
When a booking is cancelled, BNPi stores minimal data to operate the platform and to comply with accounting needs:
Cancellation timestamp (UTC) and the effective local reference time (03:00 PM) used for the policy window.
Applied policy (Flexible/Moderate/Firm) and the computed refund fractions for nights.
Policy fee (non‑refundable) — stored separately and excluded from Host/Partner payouts.
Technical logs (e.g., payment id/txid) to reconcile the refund and link it to the original booking.
Purpose: calculate and apply the correct refund, update availability, and keep accurate payout baselines.
Retention: records associated to bookings are retained for as long as required for dispute resolution and audit. You may request deletion where legally permissible once financial reconciliation is complete.
